Guess who's back?

Ya girl is over her reading slump and ready to recommend once again.

After a small hiatus that ultimately saw the previous second home for this newsletter overhauling everything to be... not about newsletters, I've decided to bring Kissing Books (which first originated on Substack) over to Ghost!

If you've been a subscriber from the beginning over there, including anyone who signed up in the last several months, I've done my best to bring everyone over here with me, but if you didn't make it in the move and want to resubscribe, welcome back! Happy to have you here.

Recently, I've gotten past a pretty substantial reading slump, but that means I have plenty of books to recommend in the coming weeks — including what's undeniably been my biggest form of retreat in romantasy, because real life has been... well, a lot. But I'm also open to ways that Kissing Books 2.0 can be even better than the original version, so if there's anything you'd like to see more of, less of, or some version of, feel free to email me with suggestions and feedback!

Stay tuned for the first official newsletter going out in the coming weeks (I have some big writing assignments, including another profile for my 9 to 5 over at Collider, to tackle first)!

Kissing Books is a weekly newsletter about, well, exactly what it sounds like, plus other non-romance novels that might have varying levels of smooching in them. Questions? Comments? Reply to this email, or find me on Bluesky @carlylane. If you’re reading this on Ghost or someone forwarded this email to you, consider clicking that helpful button to become a regular subscriber, or leave a tip on Ko-fi.
